If YOU use land/property in Monument Manor for commercial events - help the road fund! Owners who arrange for such use should be aware that the numerous vehicles used for these events — and particularly the heavy trucks, shuttle buses, and vans — exact a disproportionate toll on our fragile roads. Supplemental contributions to the Monument Manor Neighborhood Association for our road fund, per event will go a long way in continued support for our roads.

MMNA Call for Volunteers ... January 2023

Every new year brings new expectations and hopes for a healthful and favorable future. It can also bring new challenges. As a neighborhood of many different people with many different outlooks on the future, some might see more favor while some others see more challenges. Yet, there is one thing we all share in common, and that is our choice to call this small corner of the world “home,” and it is in our mutual interest for this neighborhood to remain somewhat equal to the visions we each had of the place when we made that choice.

Since Monument Manor is a private collection of independent households, its routine care and upkeep falls to the residents. From one perspective, this necessity might be seen as the need for work, and it can require that. However, from another perspective, a group of people working for the care and upkeep of their neighborhood can also be understood as community spirit, and there is a long and storied history of how gratifyingly much can be accomplished by community spirit.

Many decades ago, various residents stepped forward to shoulder the work of the neighborhood’s care and upkeep. This community spirit resulted in the Association’s formation and a community-elected volunteer Board of Directors established to monitor neighborhood conditions and direct repair and improvement activities as needed. Much has been accomplished but there is always something more to do, now and into new years to come.

According to the survey circulated this past summer, there is definite interest among residents in the state of and future of neighborhood affairs. Community spirit and volunteering to help with service and maintenance needs is a way to keep those affairs from spinning too much out of control and threatening the neighborhood’s quality of life.

Whatever people can contribute in the way of thought, word and deed will help to keep this small corner of the world at least somewhat equal to the vision we each had for it when we chose to make it home. More volunteers at the community service table would be most welcome by those already seated there.

Please contact Terry Stone (MMNA Vice President) at: mmna.volunteers@gmail.com if you would like to find out about volunteering to help.

About Us

Welcome to the Monument Manor Neighborhood Association website.  We have been serving the neighborhood for over 50 years.  All are welcome to join, including renters.

The Board’s authority mainly extends to the roads, signs and security mailboxes at the corner of Uphill and Quail Springs in our neighborhood.  For other issues, that are still likely to be important to individual property owners in our neighborhood, we try to provide information and guidance.

Board meetings are held in March, June, Sept and Dec, with Annual Meeting in March.  Exact dates/locations TBA.
